New Diana FFA Trap Team Wins State
Members competed at the Texas Parks and Wildlife sponsored State AG Clays Event in San Antonio on June 10th & 11th. The Team won it's 5th State Championship in 3 years. Also winning the top Female shooter for the third straight year and tying for the top male shooter.
New Diana FFA Trap Shooter Top in the State
Caitlin won the State Title & Trophy as the top female trap shooter at the Texas Parks & Wildlife State Ag Clays Event in San Antonio on June 11. This marks the third straight year a female shooter form New Diana has won the top honor. Caitlin won the title in a two person shoot-off with a 97 out of 100 targets for the competition and shoot-off rounds of 24 and 25 for the championship.

Members of the New Diana FFA Shooting Team traveled to Colorado Spring on July
22 for a week of competition at the US Olympic Training Range on Ft. Carlson Amy
Base. They shot against the best in the nation at the USA Nationals and
competed in the Scholastic Clays Target Program (SCTP) International event. The
members of the team stood side by side against Olympic and National Champion
shooters and held there own. The team placed 4th in the National SCTP Bunker
Trap event. Caitlin placed 5th overall after the final shoot-off in the women's division for SCTP.

Shooting Team Competes at East Texas Area Council Boy Scouts Shoot.
Members of the New Diana FFA Shooting Team compete at the East Texas Area Council Boy Scouts of America Great Texas Shootout held at Rose City Clays in Tyler on October 12. The East Texas Area Council also make financial support to the teams Scholastic Shooting Trust through the Midway USA Foundation.

Members of the New Diana Shooting Team place 3rd overall and 1st in the youth division at the 2nd annual St. Mary's School of Longview sporting clays event on November 11. The members shot for Pegues Hurst Ford that sponsored the team.
Coed Shooting Team Wins Atlanta/Queen City Ag Clays Event
Members of the New Diana Coed Shooting Team took top honors on Jan. 15 at the Atlanta/Queen City FFA Ag Clays Event held at the Maud Gun Club Shooting Range. The all-Male team placed 3rd in their division.

The Pewitt shoot was held at the Clays and More Range in Mt. Pleasant. New Diana hosted their shoot at the Buffalo Creek Shooting Range in Ben Wheeler.

2011-12
National Land CDE
Members on the New Diana FFA Land CDE team place 1st at District, 3rd at SFA Invitational, 3rd at Area, 2nd at State and 7th at the National Land & Range CDE in Oklahoma City on May 3rd. The top 100 teams from 36 states participated and Jenny received the 3rd high point individual medal with almost almost 400 FFA members from accross the nation competing.
Honorary American FFA Degree Teacher
Mr. Willeford was awaded his Honorary American FFA Degree at the 84th National Convention in Indianapolia on October 21. He is in his 31st year of teaching Agri-Sciences and the last 24 years at New Diana. The award is given to individuals who advance agricultural education and the FFA through outstanding personal commitment. Mr. Willeford is a product of the program. He served as chapter president for two years and Area 6 officer while in high school here at New Diana. Three generations including his father along with his two sons are also former FFA members at New Diana. National President Riley Pagent presents Mr. Willeford with his award. October 2011
New Diana FFA Trap Shooting Team Wins State Shoot!
Members of the New Diana FFA Trap shooting team traveled to San Antonio in June to participate in the State Ag Clays Event sponsored by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. This was their first trip to the state shoot and they came away with the state title in the girl's division. This year's event drew 41 schools, 99 teams and 479 shooters. This is the 5th year for the shoot and participation has doubled each year the event has been held. Students must be FFA members, have their Texas Hunters Education Certification, and be enrolled or have completed the Wildlife class. June, 2011
